Being invited — and nothing happens without you

When an organization invites you, you get a choice — not a membership. Nothing joins you to anything until you accept.

How it works

  1. An organization's owner invites you — by your email address, or by your handle if you're already here.
  2. You see the invitation on your account (and you're notified — the bell, and your connected apps if you've set that up). It names the organization and the role they're offering.
  3. You decide. Accept, and you're a member that instant. Decline, and that's the end of it — politely, and the organization simply sees "declined."
  4. Not ready to have an account yet? An email invitation waits for you: register with that email address whenever you like, and the invitation is sitting on your brand-new account.

Good habits

Did you know? You can belong to as many organizations as invite you — accepting one never limits another, and you switch between them freely (Belong to many, switch freely).
