Delete your account

One deliberate action, honestly described: what disappears, what remains, and the one thing you may need to do first.

Before you can delete

If you're the only owner of an organization, the deletion pauses and tells you which ones — an org is never left ownerless. Hand ownership to someone else (or close the org) and try again. Everything else — memberships, follows, subscriptions — needs no preparation.

What happens immediately

What remains, and why

Some records survive because they belong to shared history, not just to you:

Your name and handle come off these records; the records themselves stay truthful for the people who shared them with you. For anything beyond this — a formal data request — contact the operator of this deployment.

Good habits

Did you know? Your old handle isn't gone forever for you either — after its 30-day rest, it's claimable again, by anyone. If you return with a new account, be quick.
