Marketing email, on your terms

Organizations here can only send you marketing email you've said yes to — by category, with an unsubscribe that actually means it.

Opt-in, by category

Marketing email — newsletters, announcements, promotions — is off until you turn it on, per category, in your account's email preferences. Saying yes to one category says nothing about the others, and changing your mind is the same switch in the other direction.

This is separate from your notification routing (Notified your way): receipts, invitations, and "your session is confirmed" are things that happened to your account, and they arrive regardless — consent governs promotion, never your own records.

Unsubscribe means unsubscribed

Every marketing email carries a working one-click unsubscribe. Using it doesn't just flip your category switch — it puts your address on a suppression list enforced at the sending machinery itself, so no organization on the platform can send around it, and no consumer's bug can accidentally override your no. Re-subscribing later is always your act, from your own preferences page.

What organizations can and can't see

An organization sends to a category of consenting people; your address isn't theirs to export, and your consent choices aren't a profile anyone browses. You'll never be asked to "confirm your subscription" by a third party — preferences live in your account, nowhere else.

Good habits

Did you know? The suppression list outranks everything — even an organization importing an old mailing list can't reach an address that unsubscribed here. Your no doesn't expire.
