How to report

Every post, comment, message, and profile carries a report option. Pick the reason (spam, harassment, inappropriate, other), add a note if you want, done.

What happens next

You get a confirmation that we received it, and later a notification telling you the outcome — reviewed and actioned, or reviewed and dismissed. You won't be left wondering.
The content is snapshotted at that moment — even if the author edits or deletes it afterward, reviewers see exactly what you saw. That copy is kept with the report while it may still be needed, which means removed content can live on in the report record after it is gone from the site.
Content in an organization's spaces goes to that org's moderators; profiles and private messages go to platform review. (Your DMs are only ever reviewable because you, a participant, chose to report them.)
The reviewer dismisses it or removes the content — removed content leaves a visible "removed" marker, so action is never invisible.

The outcome notice tells you what happened to your report. It never tells you anything about the other person's account — the same protection that keeps your identity out of their view keeps theirs out of yours.

If your own content is removed

You are told: what was removed and on what ground, in a notification you keep. If you think the call was wrong, you can appeal — the notice includes how, and an appeal is reviewed by the same queue that made the original decision, so there is a record of both.

Your safety in the process

The reported person never learns who reported them. There is no notification, no counter, no tell.
Reporting doesn't touch your connection to them — pair it with block or mute if you also want distance, and don't hesitate to do both.
Report honestly and freely. Rate limits keep report-bombing from weaponizing the queue, so genuine reports never drown.

Good habits

Report the content, block the person, in whichever order helps you first.
A short note on "other" reports helps the reviewer act fast.
